This art deco silver-plate carving set has no marks on either the knife or fork (aside from being monogrammed on the other side). That means I don't know the maker.
I've gone through hundreds of photos trying to identify the pattern, but no luck.
I'm looking to identify either the maker or pattern.
I'm also curious why there is no mark.
Thanks.

Re: Help on unmarked carving set
Hi - seems unlikely to me that this set is silverplate, the handles should be sterling, the pattern is Wallace's 'Carthage', introduced in 1917. The silver on hollow-handle items is usually quite thin, so they're often struck lightly, might find remnants of the marks on the sides if you look carefully.
Though I can see where it might bring 'Art Deco' to mind, the pattern is really more Neoclassical, typical of flatware patterns from the 1910s...

Thank you!
I'm surprised all the way around.
I'll take another look at the handles.
Thanks again.

Re: Help on unmarked carving set
It's a nice pattern, I've had a pretty little Carthage square-bowled gravy/sauce ladle for many years...
