Hi All,
I hope somebody can provide some assistance. Im not very familiar with French Marks and as you can see from the images the marks on these sauce boats are very worn. This is the better of the two sets. Im hoping somebody confident in there knowledge could identify these marks for me. My concern is that Boulenger made plenty of Silver Plate and I want to know if these are Silver rather than plate.
Best Regards,
Dave.

Hi,
It`s silver plate (rectangular marks).
Take a look here for details (the advertisement and the marks).

Thanks very much for the replies,
Was Boulenger exclusively silver plate?
Cheers,
Dave.

Hello,
Boulenger made indeed also pieces in solid silver.
You will find more details regarding Boulenger (and other silversmiths) in an article written by Robert Massart, published in Ascas, Association of Small Collectors of Antique Silver.
The title of the article is : "Parisian Goldsmith and Jewellery Houses of the 19th and 20th Century".
