You use your needle and make these wonderful pieces of cloth.
They always carried it so at any free moment they could work on this.

As mentioned I did not know what it was. But something you could carry in your belt. Saw a similar in a Danish television program "what is it"

When travelling you carry it in the hook. So your hands are free, whenever sitting you start sewing - the itwm is alwayes available.
