Austro-Hungarian spoons
Austro-Hungarian spoons
This question involves 3 different styles which I am calling (1) the coin spoons -3 of these, (2) the shovel spoon -2 of these, and (3) the shovel & fork. There is one photo that shows everything:
The coin spoons or ladles have a Hungarian coin:
The shovel spoon has an 'FL' and Diana's head:
And the shovel and fork might be a bit blurred.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello!
CsP is Cseh Pál in Pest. They started his career around 1855. The castle mark is the hallmark of the Pest guild from 1859.
Hope this helps!
Best regards!

Re: Austro-Hungarian spoons
Hi,
Commemorative spoons, the first letter in filigree initials look different, custom made for wife and husband. Medal is commemorating imperial couple Franz Joseph I and Elisabeth, May 13, visiting town Jászberény', unmarked medal. Low numismatic value, not to regret they were used for spoons.
Nice souvenir spoons typical for Biedermeier period. Whatever occasion, whatever visit to fashionable resorts – memorabilia were taken back home and cherished.
Regards.

Re: Austro-Hungarian spoons
Diana head beside``FL`` mark was used 1937-1965 There should be a number indicating fineness (3 for .800) the shape being consistent with .800.

Assuming that 3 of the spoons (those with the coin head) are commemoratives, any opinion about #2 and #3. What type of utensil are these (fish?)?
Re: Austro-Hungarian spoons
In the 7. picture, next to the Diana hallmark, I think it's the mark of Frank Brüder. Please, deny or verify me, it's an austrian Diana, or not? What is the city letter in the hallmark? Please make some sharp pictures about the marks!
Best regards!

Hi,
The image of the mark is upside down, silversmith`s hammer with wings.
I think the mark belonged to BRÜDER FRANK (Anton, Rudolf and Eduard)”Wiener Gold- und Silberwarenfabrik” 1887 – 1930 in Hirschengasse, Gumpendorf (now 6.Bezirk).

Re: Austro-Hungarian spoons
As I said before, I think, this marks (hammer with wings) is the maker marks of Frank Brüder. So I agree with AG2012.
