Hi can anyone tell me where about the spoon was made in France? Who was the manufacturer? And what is the funny looking giraffe mark as I have never seen it before?
The top mark is A over D with a rose in the middle. The middle mark I can't make out. The bottom mark looks like a giraffe.
Any help appreciated.
Best Wishes

Hello
This is turning out to be a set of mystery marks; they have been posted here on gilt flatware pieces twice before. The AD with a rose bud in a lozenge-shaped reserve, the giraffe(?) in an octagonal reserve, and a third mark that varies. According to the posters, the objects were found in Northern Europe, which might be a clue to their origin. See below for the link.
