I'm trying to track down an owner of a lost wedding ring that I found in France. The ring is engraved in Hungarian (with a date), so I guess it may have been made there.
I thought if I could work out where it came from I could try contacting jewellers in the are to see if they know who it was made for. Don't know if it's possible to tell from the hallmark, but any suggestions of where it came from would be very welcome ... as of course would any tips on how to try and find the owner... (I've let the local tourist office and police station for the area know in case it is reported as lost).
Many thanks.
