good morning!
as first i want do a clarification regarding the id mark into the lozenge
i suggested to investigate a pssible mark "province + number" because I have a sugar pot with the mark FI9 in a very rough lozenge that really seems more an oval, so I deduced that, maybe in the very first time of application of the registration id mark there were some marks not yet unified.
But I would exlude a mark with "letters + province"
I suppose that the mark is in the inner bottom at the junction between the base and the vase, that location is very thick to mark, so usually marks in that part are often unreadable or marked twice one over one.
Regarding the region of provenience I can say that for modern silver objects there is no much style difference from a region to the other, with few exception for particular objects of local tradition, IE you can find a Venetian cuccuma or a centerpiece in the Venetian 700 style done in Venetian area or Milanese area, but never (or very rarely) in Sicily.
Here a similar vase
mark is not clear but to mi seems to be <97 (or17)FI>
