I am not being very successful identifying marks on spoons and ask for help, please. I suspect these to be silver plate but the marks I have found do not tally with the general searches I have undertaken on google and eBay with similarly presented items. I have a presentation box of six silver coloured spoons from James Walker London Ltd. Others that I have seen on the internet are marked James Walker and with A1 which I am lead to believe is silver-plate of good quality. These are marked "J.A & Co", then there is what appears to be a gothic letter 'S' then the words "gothic" "silver" followed by "2". I now question whether these are silver plate or genuine silver - google searches of the term gothic silver lead me a stray in other types of jewelry more associated with the Gothic Genre.
