I need help identifying the maker of this sppon. I really don't know anything about it so any help would be great. thanks!

picture of the spoon
so on the bakc of the spoon there is a D which can be seen underneath the word sterling, and then to the left of that is what I believe is the makers mark.

thank you! Its 5 and 1/2 inches. Is there a way for me to tell which year the spoon is from? It has a D on it for the letter.
