Hello everyone,
I recently came upon what I think is a vintage ashtray from the 50s-60s. I need help identifying the mark on the back. I know "plata 925" means silver 925 and its from my home country Peru. The rest I cannot identify. I think it says " JORKEY" and "1530" any possibility this is from the 1530s? If anyone can give any info on the marks or age id greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi,
It's marked 'cobre y plata 925 Peru' which translates 'copper and silver 925 Peru'.

Great, kind of funny I thought it said something totally different. How about the #s? Any idea what they mean or significance they have? Thanks again.

I'm wondering if they are numbers or a badly struck maker's mark?

Could this be a decimal measure of the amount of silver actually used like .153 OS/Os (for an old ounce abbreviation)?
