Help to identify cufflinks marker and hallmarks
A heavy pair of sterling cufflinks weighing approx 24g. The cufflinks are marked LL in an oval, 925, X in a circle followed by the Birmingham date letter for 1997 a cursive x with a line through the middle. I thought that the LL in the oval looked an awful lot like Links of London but the other marks aren't right. Any thoughts or information would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the information. What I find strange is that the X in the oval and date letter are both engraved below the surface instead of raised. Any thoughts on this. Thank you.

I just found this which leads me to believe that they did both, stamping and lazer engraving.

The X in oval is actually Edinburgh's import mark and this LL is definitely Links of London. The cuff links were therefore made abroad and imported by Links as sponsors.

Thanks so much for helping to identify the marks. I thought they were links of london but hadn't seen another like them to confirm it. Thanks again.
