I have a spoon marked Reimers 685s, see picture. It sounds to me like a silversmith from the north of Germany. Unfortunately the spoon does not show any other hallmarks. My questions:
Does anybody know this silversmith?
I suppose 685 is the silver quality. Could that be? I am not aware of this kind of silver standard in Germany? Could that mean something else?
Wy is a S following 685?
Kind regards
Constantin
Reimers 685s?
Re: Reimers 685s?
Hello, the S stands for silver, 685 was not uncommon in German in the years ca. 1860-1870. Don't know the maker. Regards, Bahner
