Need Help Identifying 0.800 Mark - Swiss?

Hi,
I'm trying to identify this mark and am having trouble identifying it. It reads 0.800 with three dots and an arch next to it - next to that it is stamped "W. Speiser". The use of the 0 before .800 makes me think that it might be Swiss, but I'm not sure. I can find no reference to W. Speiser. The ladle is monogrammed on the end of the handle - the monogram looks older, but I'm unsure of age.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, Swiss, by Jezler of Schaffhausen.

W. Speiser is likely a retailer's mark.

If you are referring to the mark with the three circles - that is the trade mark of Jezler.



As far as age is concerned, I do not know, but the Speiser details were from a 1904 publication, but that's not to say he wasn't around a lot longer before and after.

Let me add my standard brabble for items with this Jezler mark:
This mark with the Jezler arms and the 0.800 fused together with curved outlines of the arms is not used anymore. (Jezler is still in business...) It was used around 1900, maybe up to First World War (1914), but maybe up to the 1920ies. Your ladle looks rather light and elegant, a style Jezler used in the early 1900. In the 1920ies the ladles (and spoons & forks) tended to become heavier again.
I think we are save to date your ladle in the 1900 to 1920.
