French tulip beaker with a unknown mark (recense?)

Post by zilverik »

Hi,

This tulip beaker has a weight of 83 gr.; is high 10,4; diameter up is 8 cm; diameter foot is 5 cm. Maker is Théodore Tonnelier (master in 1798). Marked with the head of Michelangelo = 1819-1838; grosse garantie for Paris: head of Cérès. So far everything fits, but there is a very tiny mark (looks like a deer) on the foot and I am not able to identify that mark. Anyone can?

Kind regards,

zilverik

Hi zilverik,

It looks like the 1838 verification mark:
