Hi, I believe you're spoon is Dutch, made in The Hague (Den Haag) in the year 1762 so yes 18th century, not British though. I Cannot quite make out the maker mark though so I can't help you with that. There is another contributor who is extremely knowledgeable about Dutch marks and he may know when he checks in. He could also double check my assessment

actually if you check over in the Dutch silver section, I believe he already answered your question with much more detail regarding this spoon, including the maker
