What-is-it question XLIV.

Post by 2209patrick »

This piece was made by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company, Meriden, Connecticut.
Their name became Webster-Wilcox in 1960.
It's about 15 inches (38.1 cm) high.
What was it used for?

Could it be used to hold sheet music?

rojo531, you are very close, but it was not intended to hold sheet music. You have the right idea.

You are so close that I have to give it to you.
It was meant to hold a book.
