Unfortunately the maker АШ. is unknown (at least to me). Maybe somebody else can identify the maker. However, the object is made in Moscow 1908-1917(26). The text states:
"A memory to dear Sergey Grigorievich from the family A.A.V. and L. Vishnjakov"
"A memory to dear Sergey Grigorievich from the family A.A.V. and L. Vishnjakov"

What exactly is this object? :: Is it some kind of "memorial plaque" created for a funeral? ::
What does the back of the object look like, could that help to figure out what it is? :::

I think it's writing desk note holder.Depending on the base and size (stone) it could have been been used as a paperweight.
One cannot write on French polish antique furniture.Thing like this is needed.Again, size matters.
A keepsake from Vishnyakov family. The recipient was still alive at the time,no funeral.
And yes, we'd like to see the whole object.

Whatever it is, It is a gift o living person. The text doesn't state "to the memory of..." but "a memory to..." There is a difference between the meaning the prepositions of and to.

:: I understand now, thank you for help with the sentence structure and also the references to the other objects ::

It's a memento plaque or something that accompanies a larger gift.
The Russian text has a "parting gift" kind of feel.
The design is kind of strange, perhaps a gift from a rich provincial family to a neighbor/family friend teenager heading off to military academy or university in a big city?
