Italian hallmark? Ascoli Picano?

Post by eivind »

Hello!

I have a pair of ear jewellery which is marked with some really small hallmarks. One says 750, one says (?)T and a star, and the last one is extremely difficult to say for sure, but it looks like it's the number 18 in one corner and then AP in the other corner.

I'll attach some images here for you to see. Any ideas?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Please show us an image of the entire piece, the style may provide further clues.

Well, the 18 AP mark would belong to FENOCCHI PACIFICO Via Crispi 66 SAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO (ASCOLI PICENO) which ceased before 1971.
However, the marks photographed do not seem Italian.
Since there are two earrings, can you show us the pictures of the other earring ?

Hello Amena,

Thank you for your informative response.

I will attach some further images with the markings from both pieces. As well as the 750 mark from both pieces. Hopefully this could shed some light on this. The 18 AP mark seems to be very clear now at least.

The 750 mark is in the outline prescribed by the Italian law of the time, but at that time the goldsmith's mark had to be contained in a lozenge with the cut sides

and I do not see it, but......

I see! I guess it'll remain a bit of a mystery then. Thank you a lot anyway. :)

Hello!
It's a hungarian 18k import mark between 1999-2006 (A Yearletter) and -CP*- is the mark of the retailer.
