Unknown country of origin

My wife has inherited some silver items, some have marks, some is marked plated and some have no marks, mainly the hairbrushes etc. We seem to have in the pile a slim but heavy ladies belt in silver with a foreign looking mark on the reverse of each piece. I was wondering if anyone had a clue what the marks meant?

Beyond Middle-Eastern I have no idea, but hopefully another member will know more.
