Do you think it is a "W" and there is a "pellet" next to the "W" :::: What do you think the letter next to the "W" could be? ::::: It could be "William Kimberly" ::
To my eye, this looks like it might be a 19th century lancet style spoon, from Germany or thereabouts - am moving it to the German forum for more views...
This is an American spoon, circa 1790-1815, and probably mid- or Western Pennsylvania based upon the drop and the monogram. It could also be Eastern Ohio or a few other places.
Q.-Could "W" boxed be only a location designator (town/city) rather than maker/supplier/retailer?
Q.-Any chance of Canadian source (producing for American market)?
