JACQUES, W (Grimwade p.328)
William, the son of William Jacques who was master of the Clockmakers Company in 1716, is listed on page 170 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World as apprenticed in 1716 and free in 1724. He was probably the W Jacques who entered a mark in 1725 at Goldsmiths’ Hall from Angel Court, Snow Hill as a clockmaker.

Pure speculation, but he could be the son of JAQUES, William (Grimwade p.298) http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 74&t=53838

It does seem likely because William and Sarah's son named William was baptised in January of 1701 (OS?).buckler wrote:Pure speculation, but he could be the son of JAQUES, William (Grimwade p.298) http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 74&t=53838
