Perhaps someone can tell me more about this mark. The mark is seen on an altered tea caddy with Dutch 18th century marks and known Dutch maker's mark. I believe the mark could be of the silversmith who made the alterations to the cap. The mark being; R in a six-pointed star is found 2 times on the caddy, one in the cap and one in the neck of the caddy. I checked my Dutch and Belgian reference book to no avail. The little red book of Citroen it mentioned R in a six-pointed star to be a bogus maker's mark.

However this time I doubt it to be a pseudo mark and hopefully we can link the mark to a name of a silversmith. Thanks.
