Gold marking. Chinese?

Post by darkone »

Hi all,
Please help identify the marks on this gold band.
Could this be Chinese markings for full gold?
Is it possible to determine approximate age from these marks?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I have deleted your earlier attempt at posting as you requested, but please embed your pictures. Google is not a suitable host for embedded pictures; https://postimages.org/ is recommended.

The Chinese word "pure", when used as a precious metal mark, indicates a metal fineness that, up until 2015, was 995 or higher, but which has since legally been reduced to 990. This particular pure gold fineness mark used 1989- to date.
