Here we have a rather nice Chinese Export, fairly large, articulated fish. Given there is a small enclosed space within the head only accessible through the mouth (i.e. the head is not hinged), I think this is a scent bottle with a dipping stick. My problem is that I haven't been able to trace the maker on-line (I have no books on Chinese makers) which I read as either MH or HW. Can anyone on the forum help identify this maker or more accurately, I think, the retailer given it would probably have been made for MH or HW who then stamped it with their own mark? The second picture shows the same mark in two different orientations.
Many thanks,
Silverk.
