DEARMOR, John (Grimwade p.487)
6 November 1721 John son of Cornelius Dearmer late of Louton in the County of Bedford Surgeon deceased apprenticed to Abraham Dearmer Clockmaker of London. This contract helps exclude the possible 1724 mark attribution of a John Dearmer free clockmaker.
Re: DEARMOR, John (Grimwade p.487)
It seems very likely that Grimwade misread John DearmEr's entry as John DearmOr. As Pat says the dating tends to indicate that the John DearmOr given as a smallworker on page 96 is not the same man
Re: DEARMOR, John (Grimwade p.487)
20 July 1732 John Dearmer of the Parish of Saint Brides London Batchelor and Watchcasemaker aged 28 years bound in marriage to Mary Hewkly of the same Parish Spinster aged 21 years. This entry may put Grimwade's John Dearmer Free Clockmaker citation for the 1724 mark right back in the picture and suggests there were more than one John Dearmers in a related trade.
