Walker & Hall date?

Ok now I hope I get this right. Sorry, I tried to read the posting rules.
I have a medical condition and I don't read beyond a few words. So I have I think a coffee and tea pot that both say they were made by Walker and Hall in Sheffield. The rest of the stamps I do not understand and I have looked at the pictures/hallmarks on many sites but I am afraid my brain is drained.

The mark rd456777 is a British registration number for 1905. Your piece would have been made after that date.

Two of my books show your Walker & Hall mark being used from 1891-1909.

I am curious about the "x" and "y" under the W & H flag trade mark. Could this be the Sheffield year marks for 1915 and 1916?

That is a big help thanks so much. I am afraid my little hallmark book is not very extensive.

Yeah I also wondered about the X and Y too.

The X and Y could be date marks, not sure.
If they are, I think Walker & Hall had their own date code, not related to Sheffield sterling datemarks.
None of my books mention date codes for Walker & Hall.

But isn't the RD number saying what date it is since the RD number that I have on the items falls between 1905 and 1906? Isn't that conclusive or is the list not listing every RD number issued? Sorry I am new to this whole thing so I am curious.

The Rd number just means your piece was made sometime after 1905.
So, were looking at a date anywhere from 1905 up to 1910.

Just seen this post, so I am a little late joining in. The x & y are date letters for 1916 & 1917.

Wow thanks that is really helpful. So one piece is 1916 and the other is from 1917.
By the way the advice on how to clean the pieces has been great. I am still working on the inside of the pots as the previous owner has charcoal in them. The outside is very clean now but it is taking forever to get the inside clean. I was also surprised that the silver foam stuff is not too toxic!
