Hi. Does anyone know this maker by any chance? I've found the same mark in a couple of other sites, but no name.
London Hallmarks, 1975 date letter.
Many thanks.

There are no published references or lists for modern (since 1914) London sponsors' marks. However you may get a response from the London Assay Office if you contact them directly: https://www.assayofficelondon.co.uk/contact.
We would be very grateful if you could update this post if you do get an answer.

Oh I should have thought of that; good idea. Sure, I'll remember to update if I get an answer from them.

Just heard back from London Assay Office; they identified the mark as Stilwell Engravers.silvermakersmarks wrote:There are no published references or lists for modern (since 1914) London sponsors' marks. Hi,
Many thanks for updating the topic and thus recording this information.
Did the LAO provide any further information? .... location etc.?

My pleasure. Your website has been a great resource for me over the years.dognose wrote:Hi,

LAO didn't include anything other than the name. When I looked it up on Google a 'Stilwell Jewellers & Engravers' operating in Canterbury for fifty-odd years came up, so I assumed it was them. But perhaps I should double check that.
