Late 18th century Norwegian Spoon

Post by legrandmogol »

This spoon I believe is Norwegian but it is not marked. I think is late 18th century but it could also be early 19th. One of the rings is a replacement.

Yes, I share your opinion of the spoon's age. It is a rather typical spoon from Lapland (the rings). The reason for it being unmarked is that is was not mandatory to mark so called "country people" silver work.
