Silver? Mug when and where?
Re: Silver? Mug when and where?
Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
The script mark appears to be in Jawi, an Arabic script used in Malaysia, the script appears to translate to the word Kelantan, a state in northern Malaysia which has a tradition of silverwork.
In future posts please refrain from using Photobucket, as they put advertising banners over the detail we need to see.

Re: Silver? Mug when and where?
Thank you for the info, would it be safe to assume it is a composition of 800 silver made between 1930 and 1960?
Re: Silver? Mug when and where?
Hi,
Probably, but such work is still produced today and purity may be as high, to my knowledge, as 900.
