Towle bought Frank Smith???

US Patents trademark filing by Towle Manufacturing for 1982 on word mark FRANK SMITH citing use since 1886: https://books.google.com/books?id=eoRSa ... 86&f=false

Applied to both tools and jewelry class (includes holloware etc.). I thought Gorham got this through Webster. Did they split it off?
