Re: Need help to identify candlesticks
Hello Dennis,
I think the lion rampant and the 830S points to "Gebrüder Dehyle" Schwäbisch Gmünd, but the halfmoon and the crown is missing. So the items maybe older than 1886. Dehly starts 1820 so that can be possible. I cannot assign the oval and hexagonal marks on the second foto.

I'm sure it's middle of 20th century.
I also was surprised with this hallmark. Because usually this model of candlesticks which I find - made in Finland.
On second photo I know - it's Sweden import marks.

Hi,
The absence of crescent and moon does not guarantee earlier date.
There are Gebrüder Deyhle silver items made in the first half of 20th century without Reichsmark and positively identified and dated based on import marks from other countries.
