He is recorded in the Poor Rate book of St Lukes's Old Street Liberty in 1740 as being in Noble Street . .
I have no idea of the significance, but his entry is bracketed with that of the next ratepayer , Susannah McConnell by the words "Mrs Dawson". Whether Mrs Dawson was the landlord of both I have no idea ! Mrs Dawson is recorded in a similar way as paying money for several other houses in Noble Street

Again I don't know if this is already fairly apparent, but Samuel Hutton citizen and goldsmith paid aprentice indenture duties for Mamaduke Daintrey son of Duke Daintrey of Cripplegate on 27 October 1730.

Re: DAINTREY, Marmaduke (Grimwade p.483)
Marmaduke moved to Hartley Wintney in 1754 after his brother in law, Richard Wilmer died. His wife Elizabeth and Marmaduke helped care for the children and also their own only surviving son, Marmaduke John. I have found where a spoon made by Marmaduke in 1760 was sold a few years ago. Marmaduke took another wife, Sarah but was buried with his first wife Elizabeth at Hartley Wintney.
