I would like to know if my interpretation of marks on the silver cap on an old walking cane are correct. As I see it the symbols from left to right are TH, Anchor, Lion, and W. I have translated these as Thomas Hayes, Birmingham, .925 England, and 1921. Is this correct? Unfortunately this is the best photo I have been able to take. Thank you for your time.

Need to be sure about hallmarks
Re: Need to be sure about hallmarks
Hi John,
Welcome to the Forum.
I think it is more likely to be that of Jonathan Howell of Henry Howell & Co.

(I'll try and replace the missing images in that topic over the next day or so.)

Re: Need to be sure about hallmarks
Thanks Trev! That makes more sense. Do you think the date Is correct based on the W in the photo. Another option was 1946 but that W looks "flattened" along the top.
