Hello forum,
I am thinking about to buy an old french silverpiece from 18th century.
It has all the hallmarks (charge, décharge, jurande, maître orfèvre), but there is another hallmark which I cannot identify.
It could be an urn, therefore it would be the mark of "reconnaissance" but I am not sure.
The vendor couldn't tell me anything about it.
Maybe someone could help me to identify.
Thanks in advance
Here is the hallmark

Hello
These marks don’t occur in isolation, so it would be most helpful for you to include the full set. Furthermore, a good cleaning out of the mark and sharper focus also would be of assistance.

Hello,
I have unfortunately only this picture of the hallmark.
It is a serving spoon from 1752. I am not sure if it is allowed to post the whole spoon, because it is not yet mine.
It could be also the poinçon de recense, but I couldn't find any hallmark which looks like that one.

Re: Help for identifying a french hallmark
hello,
you have to rotate the hallmark horizontally.
this is 2 shaking hands so called also "bonnefoi" in french.
this is a "contremarque "
this has been stamped on objet between 1781/1789 all around France
Usually it is put on the objet when it is made.
send the whole set as said JayT should be perfect
