Dear All,
I have a set of triplex sugar tongs by Carl Gustav Hallberg.
However I can't see any assay marks, so was wondering if they were silver or plate.
Does all Silver have to have an assay mark?
Any help would be welcome.

Hi,
As far as I know the Swedish hallmarking system is organized on a compulsory base.

Your tongs are not silver but possibly plated.
