I don't know much about 18th century punches, but in theory I should at least find on the handle of each place setting: a charge, discharge, "Jurande" (letter date) and goldsmith hallmarks.
However, this is not the case here. What would be the explanation? A production that has not been subject to tax?
Concerning the "X" with a crown, difficult to find a precise correspondence (the hallmark of the city of Metz 1774, cf. Tardy p. 159, could correspond but ...).
Also, I think the "easiest" would be to identify the goldsmith.
I therefore appeal to your high benevolence to resolve this problem ;-)
Thank you for your help!
