I have 3 items with it on there, this being the third. this mark is on both sides of the bail. The brooch I have when you look through a loupe you can see something that kinda resembles a boar. This and the other its just a black hole so to speak.
Thank you in advance.
Is this the boars head?

Re: Is this the boars head?
Hi,
The form of the mark really looks like French boar`s head for silver small items, used since 1838.
There should be maker`s mark in lozenge, too.

Re: Is this the boars head?
Thank you. Being on both sides I can't think its an error.
Theres no makers mark but the one side of the locket on the front part is marked LR for Louis Armand Rault. It looks like his coins (has goddesses on it) and its bout 4.3 cm.

Re: Is this the boars head?
The fact supports French marking system:
Two marks are struck to indicate the locket is made of two separate parts (compare with e.g. two marks on vesta cases).
