Serpent Stamp-Who is Native Artist?

This is a necklace back. The stamp is a serpent (snake) above ‘sterling’
I have searched many sites and hallmarks for this piece. I’m a semi-advanced novice on sterling jewelry as I have a store. This one has me stumped. Pretty sure it’s Navajo but can’t name the artist. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The beast here is specifically a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, a very common theme in the southwest, which doesn't help much in trying to find this maker.

True. So hard to find who it is. Beautiful piece and did notice that it was a rattlesnake when I found a fake serpent one with no eyes or stripes in the tail. Still a steal

The snake looks more like a "sidewinder" than a rattlesnake. ::: The font of the "Sterling" stamp I do recognize from many different Native American pieces over the years. ::: That's good it is found in the "unidentified" category so hopefully, given enough time, other examples will surface. :::

Yes, I did and the snakes are different. The fake one there has no eyes or 'stripes' on it's tail, indicating a rattlesnake. Still searching...I think Traintime said it best. A very common theme in the Southwest. Thanx everyone for trying.
