Flower mark on a silver trail

Hello,

I have been checking the web and your forum, but I can't find any information on my flower mark.

For sure it is made in solid silver, the test has been done and it is positive for solid silver.
The trail looks like eastern Europe style but I am really not sure.
Under, there is a quite big flower engraved.
I don't know what country it is from.
Is it a silversmith mark or a silver mark?

Acid testing (touchstone) is reliable only if filed deep enough to reach base metal, i.e. to remove the layer of silver coating (electro plating).
If not done properly, the result will show false positive blood red reaction for solid silver.
My advice: do not trust online auctioneers.
The mark shown here has nothing in common with well established European and American solid silver marking systems.

I was with him when he did the acid testing.
But I understand, I know how it works and the silver layer may be thick.
That sounds logic because such a flower mark has nothing to do with all silver marks I have ever seen, at least that's what I think.

Thank you very much, I keep in mind it is not made in solid silver.
But the flower remains a mystery.

Schwerter's Testing Fluid (Potassium Dichromate Salt in a solution of Nitric Acid) reacts RED with silver.
This color chart from elsewhere is also wrong in regard of 800 and 500. If filed deep enough, tested once, wiped with soft cloth and tested again, some faint shade of RED is supposed to appear even on 500 and let alone on 800.
Brass - Dark Brown
Copper - Brown
Nickel - Blue
Palladium - None
Gold - None
Silver Pure - Bright Red
Silver .925 - Dark Red
Silver .800 - Brown
Silver .500 - Green
Lead - Yellow
Tin - Yellow

I must add a note to what you said
There are test liquids at different concentrations and with different acids. In Italy, the one you find in specialized shops is calibrated for the fineness 800, which is the most used, and is sulfuric acid based. This liquid gives a red reaction on 800, very dark red on 925, and, as you said, on lower silver (600 0 500) it gives red reaction on the second test at the same point.
