Hello everybody,,
I would like to come back to the topic (link below) on how long the maker mark VEYRAT (star above and below) was actually used.
viewtopic.php?t=52389
The reason is that despite the vast evidence given there, that the mark was used well into the second half of the XIX century, in this site the mark is still related only to the years 1832...1840. This is very misleading but I do not know how to change matters.
One last thing: does anyone know precisely when they stopped to use the mark?
Kind regards,
G.
VEYRAT once more
Re: VEYRAT once more
Hello Georg
“Very misleading.” ….“How to change matters.” Your aggressive tone is making me grumpy. It doesn’t fit the spirit of the Forum.
If you read carefully all the posts about Veyrat, using the search function, you’ll find an answer to your question.
By contacting the forum administrators with any additional information you may have, “matters” might be changed to your satisfaction.
Good luck in your research.
Regards
JayT
