perpetual calendar

Post by wev »

The piece is 1 11/16" dia, made up of three silver disks; the outer pair have traces of gilt.

I presume this is a German piece, but haven't a clue past that. Can anyone translate? Hazard a guess as to date?

Think the wording is a pun or other wordplay - unbewegliche fest tag = immovable feast day.

oops, scratch that! no word play involved;

immovable feast - n. - A religious holiday, such as Christmas, that does not change in date from year to year.

apparently a calendar of stable religious holidays, unlike Easter, a movable feast.
