All Help Much Appreciated!

Post by Suffolk_Jo »

Hello, I've recently been given a long rectangular mens pendant on a chain. I've tried looking up the markings on the website but being a novice I struggled. The five markings that go from top to bottom are as follows:

P & R B
Anchor
Lion
C (with a slight curly top)
Queens Head with a crown on facing left

I did try and take a photo however my camera didn't seem to want to focus on the item and came out very blurry!

All help in telling me about about the item is very much appreciated

Thank You

I forgot to add that the letter 'C' is in a square box but all four corners have sort of been cut off

Hello. Sounds like British sterling hallmarks to me.
The anchor indicates it was assayed in Birmingham England.
The date mark C might be 1977.
There was an optional Silver Jubilee mark (Queens head) for that year.

Don't know who used the P & RB mark.
