Hallo,
Today my latest purchase arrived in the mail :), it was a lucky buy on an online Dutch marketplace. It seems to be an early 18th century candlestick from Dusseldorf. Unfortunately I can`t identify the datemark and makersmark as i don`t have literature on Dusseldorf hallmarks.
Could anyone tell what year this candle stick was made in (i believe ca. 1710-1716?) and who made it?
(My earlier posting made on my phone did not have the embedded pictures, sorry for the inconvinience)
marks on bottom;
Datemark "C" and mark for Dusseldorf
Same marks on top:
Unknown Makersmark SJ maybe? (Unknown to me... hope you can help)

Maker is not sure. In Clasen it is no578, Johann Schleuter
Letter C could ca. 1710, but I am not sure

Many thanks for your reply. It`s nice to put a name to it.
Online I found some other items from Johann Schleuter with a B for 1708/1709 in a similar cartouche/outline.
So I guess C would be 1709/1710. For now, case closed.
