Hi,
It is open salt cellar made in Prague (letter B). Gypsum plaster was added later for stability; something not to do.

Hi, Where to find reference books with Prague silversmith's marks and names prior to around 1866?

Hello!
If you would like to identify the silversmith in Prague in the middle of the 19. century I offer you the following one:
Josef Hráský: Výrobní značky zlatnických, stříbrnických a ozdobnických mistrů v Cechách v letech 1806-1860
Maybe your maker is Anton Braun, the book mentioning from 1834.
Best regards!

I don't know about it. I think it was only published in Czech.

It looks very match as a salt cellar. But, silver and salt is a bad combination. The (crystal) glass lining/insert is likely missing. In a silver salt cellar without a glass inner the inner is usually gilded. Maybe there are traces of it?
