I looked through the indices as best I could, but had no luck identifying this mark.

Welcome to the Forum.
This looks an interesting mark, and I am surprised no one on the Forum has given you an answer yet. Am I correct in saying the "GSE" lettering is surrounded by a snake swallowing its tail. I a sure that iconic image should ring some bells with someone on the Forum but sorry that is not me. Do you think the item is European or North American?
