Hello Forum,
I picked this pin tray or bonbon dish up yesterday. The dealer suggested it might be Hanau as he assumed the marks on the back were Hanau pseudo marks. However as you can see there is a Dutch export mark on the front so presumably it is Dutch made. The London import marks are for Louis Landsberg and dated 1890. It's 15.5 cm across for reference.
and this is what's on the back
These are the import marks and export mark:
I'd be grateful for any help you can give tracing a manufacturer's name.
Thanks in advance,
Ian T

Hi, welcome to the forum, the marks you show these are Dutch pseudo marks.

Re: Pin Tray - Help with Maker pleae.
Peter,
Thanks for this. I have to say it's the first time I've come across dutch pseudo marks.
Quickly scrolling through I found an identical set of marks to mine attributed to Herbert Hooijkaas. Fa.(Firm) H. Hooijkaas 1874-2008; Zilverfabriek Schoonhoven. So that's my query answered.
Once again many thanks for a very prompt and most helpful reply.
