A silver bowl from Germany or Turkey

Post by kemerald »

I have a bowl with a mark of K900F. Does anyone know anything about that kind of marking? Is it considered 900 silver or what?
Thanks...

Hello

in the arcane parlance of the museum world, 900 is just above what is referred to as "low-grade silver". It is not quite sterling, but it is above the accepted silver standards of quite a few countries. As to the mark, it should be seen - even a drawing would be preferable to a verbal description.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I will try to capture a picture of it and post. I have an 88.00 U.S. dollar cheap "Kodak Share" digital camera. It is super difficult to capture the tiny markings on silver pieces. What kind of camera do you use for extremely small print?
