Dear collegues!
I bought a small sweden empire box in a package.
I recognized the 3 crowns, but after that I got stucked, I don't have sources to the Swedish silver.
The marks are in the bottom inside.
Anyone can help me?
Thank you for any help!
Best regards!

Re: small box from sweden
That's interesting. It appears to be Finnish (part of Sweden at the time) and from Kuopio. The town mark of Kuopio is just the letter C. The year is P2 (or 2P) for 1797 and the maker is Jakob Lindroth (1780-1803). The information is from the book Guld- och silversmeder i Finland 1373-1873 by Tyra Borg (1935) and only one known item by Jakob Lindroth is listed there: oval snuff box from 1797 which was then in the collection of the author.
