here is a nice impression of my vistit at the art-fair TEFAF 2023 in Maastricht:
This beautiful coffee-urn (Kraankan / Kraantjeskan / Fontain) with a tap was made by Hendrik Nieuwenhuizen in Amsterdam in 1780.
Height 48 cm, 3550 gr

Once I have seen an elegant coffee-urn from the same century, which was made by Gerardus Klein in Groningen.
It has symmetrical openwork ornaments in the moulded foot and the node. These openings admit oxygen to a burner that can be placed under the urn to keep the contents warm.
Another one was a silver coffee-urn with a burner and mark of Hendrika Catharina Eissonius (widow of Jan van Giffen), Groningen, 1791/92
33.4 cm high, 1492 gr
