I was recently able to photograph a sugar bowl that seems to solve any doubt definitively.
To the right is a sugar bowl offered at auction as an 18th century Venetian. Note the winged hallmark, a tremolierstrich and a J in rectangular reserve.
On the left, however, we see a visibly identical sugar bowl, which bears an "800" mark, the "85-fascio-NA" mark, used by Ciro Jacomino in the period 1935-1945 and the same J in rectangular reserve.
The winged mark is therefore of one of several marks used by this silversmith known for producing many antique style items.
